Future Insults

Boundroid

(n.)

A person who invokes personal boundaries as excuses to avoid doing anything they’d rather not.

Her own well-being was non-negotiable, but when a friend declined her last-minute invitation, the boundroid needed a week to process the betrayal.

Does it ring true?

From the future, or already here?

Coinage notes

Boundary + droid, a combination used here to describe someone employs the therapeutic idea of personal boundaries to a robotic extreme. The boundroid takes society’s greater awareness of mental health and turns a field built to better understand people into a way to avoid them.
